Pork Farms make the best pork pies money can buy and this year, we’re an official partner of The npower Ashes Series. It’s a marriage made in heaven, the best pork pies supporting the best cricket of the summer.
But, we’ve decided that marrying the best with the best is not quite good enough. We know that cricket is about the banter, supporting your team and the stories you take back home.
So that’s why we’re looking for the best cricket fans to win the prize of a lifetime: the chance to come on tour with Goughie to watch a day’s play at every single Ashes Test match of the series. Watch the games with him, eat pork pies with him, have a beer or two after the game with him...and create stories which your friends will want to hear time and time again. What’s more, we’ll also throw in hotels and travel!* An amazing prize for any true cricket fan!
To win……we’re on the hunt for the best cricket fans in the UK. We want three English and three Aussie cricket fans to become official members of ‘Goughie’s 6’.
As the tour makes its way across the country, we’ll set you a few hilarious challenges to help us define definitively who is the best cricket fan of the npower Ashes Series 2009. We’ll be testing banter-ability, cricket knowledge, food know-how, you name it.
Not only will you have stories to make your mates green with envy, but you’ll be famous too! You’ll feature on national radio, a national newspaper will be following your fortunes.
Whether you’re supporting England or Australia, there is a place for you in Goughie’s 6.
You’ll need to convince us why you deserve to be in the team... What have you done in the past which displays incredible allegiance to the game? What extremes have you gone to watch cricket? Maybe you dodged a best mates wedding? Or worst still, moved your own wedding to ensure you could make it to the game!
